Yes, Sandeep, I want her to do something she likes as well. The BIG problem is, very few children of this age actually know what they want. Fifteen is really to young to decide. She does not know, either. She likes bio, but does not want to become a doctor. She likes computers, but not so keen on math and physics. Our course structures are very rigid, unlike in the west, where you can easily choose combinations of subjects you like.
She is above average at academics, she has creative talent, but she is also slightly lazy and not very driven about anything.
That is making the situation worse. Taking science would keep her options open for another two years, cos once you decide on the other two streams, all the science streams automatically close.
Sigh. The easiest part of motherhood is the birthing part. All the rest seems to be a nightmare at times....
Thx, it was a part of a series of miracle stories that Bina has started, I thought I would give it a contemporary twist...
he he.. the XXXXX got what he deserved. NOw if only we could do this in real life. Nice story. You play golf? If you do, All xxxxxholes, beware of Jaijui. LOL
Hi, Jaiui.
Trip was great, but getting used to the muggy monsoon in amchi mumbai when I returned was difficult!
I am glad you liked the piece. I am going to read your latest now - hole in one -
Sandeep, I am swooning, LOL.. arre yaar, itka pan kahi khaas nahi, re. But when you say so, I love it....

BMW< I think your sister is a wonderful person. She did right. I hope I will have at least one such good deed done in my life....
Thanks for relating that to us. For all of us who wonder how they can make a difference, these instances can serve as examples
Yes, I am a typical kokanastha, Vish, in the sense that I hate to keep any debt on my head.
And.... ummmm... what swipe? It was a general sort of observation....
Smita
Reffy. :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Cheers to that!
Ys, Shobhana. We need to change our attitude, when the problem seems unsurmountable.. then it will be simpler for us
No request yet..
You know, Vish, nobody is going to be bored. You should write it on Sulekha.. It is sure to interest everybody. But if you insist, OK... waiting.
Thanks,
Smita
Make me beautiful, Tinkerbell - Bina's miracle series
Kalyanee, :-))). Ya, i think when you get to be my age, you start appreciating the virtues of practicality rather than trusting the miracles of fate.
Pune is certainly not easier, I have just gone through the application process and it drove me nuts, but there are 115 colleges in Pune, so one of them just might be able to accomodate Malavika!!!
Thanks for passing by.
